  1. 1. Poola Subbaiah Veligonda Project

    Poola Subbaiah Veligonda Project (PSVP) consists of Nallamala Sagar Reservoir which is formed by closing Three Gaps in Nallamala Hill Ranges namely Sunkesula, Gottipadia and Kakarla to draw 43.50 TMC of Flood water from Kollam Vagu (Upstream of Srisailam Reservoir) through twin Tunnels by gravity and thereafter, to impound in Nallamala Sagar Reservoir through a Feeder Canal. Three Canals namely Teegaleru, Gottipadia and Eastern Main Canal take off water from Nallamala Sagar Reservoir to cater to the Irrigation and Drinking Water needs.

    The Government of A.P. declared the P.S.Veligonda Project in the year 2005 vide G.O.Ms.No.110 I&CAD, Dated:27.06.2005 and GO.
    Ms.No.87, dated: 12.05.2008. The details of submerged habitations are as follows:-

        3. Chintalamudipi
        4. Katamraju Thanda
        5. Sunkesula
        6. Sairam Nagar (Habitation Shifted)
        7. Ramalingeswarapuram (Mettugondi) (Habitation Shifted)

Tripurantakam is one of the famous and historical town located at a Markapuram dt in Andhra pradesh, India. The name of Tripurantakam came from one of the person who is Tripuantakeswarudu ruled this town and the famous temples SRI BALA TRIPURANTHAKESWARA and SRI BALA TRIPURASUNDARI DEVI temples are there.Sri bala tripurasundari devi temple has old history&the real idol of bala tripurasundari devi in temple. it`s to difficult to saw the idol because it is very terrible.the locations of town is very nice.NSP canal is main benifit of this town.

3. Bhairavakona

Bhairavakona is a holy place situated on the heart of Nallamala Hills in the Markapuramdistrict of the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh. The name Bhairavakona originated from the fact that temple of Sri Trimukha Durgamba Mahadevi along with Sri Barguleshwari Swamy temple is present at that place and Bala Bhairava Swamy guards the location. Bhairavakona is 43 km from Udayagiri, a town in Nellore district. APSRTC’s Udayagiri depot provides buses to Seetharamapuram which is 15 km from Bhairavakona.From Seetharamapuram one can take share Auto’s to Bhairavakona. This place is home to an ancient Shiva temple. There is waterfall which falls from a height of 200 metres and there are eight temples carved in the hill there. An interesting feature that attracts devotees to Bhairavakona is that the moonlight falls on the idol of goddess Parvati at a temple there on Kartik Poornima day.it is beautiful water fall in Markapuram.
